Man Of Two Worlds
We met up with Penkhee over a session of chicken chop and fries with brown sauce (yummy!) after such a long, long time.
He is the kind of guy who is very into sports especially mountain biking, and extremely well-versed with cars - he'd tell you everything inside out that you'd need to know about cars. It's not often to find someone who actually lowered his X-Trail, put in whatever canggih-fied sound system, and wired blue LEDs for his car plate. He'd be telling Hubby how to modify his car, which sound system is suitable, who to go to, which websites to visit, and not to watch Channel 78 (or rather now, Channel 734) so much. *lol*
The very next minute, he asked for a pen and paper, and immediately wrote down the Fettucine Carbonara recipe for me. He'd explain the full instructions on what to put, when to put in, fry the garlic until it's golden brown or the bacon until crispy on the edge. Just so you know, he did cook a mean Carbonara when we had the CNY potluck dinner at home! He'd say how cooking can be an art like Jamie Oliver's, as long as it looks nice, it's bound to taste nice as well.
Talk about a 180 degrees turn! From two extreme worlds! How often do you actually get to meet a guy like that? I must say, Hubby and I are still amazed at the thought of that. Hehehehe....
